Julia and I drove over to the Building around 10am. The chapel was jam-packed! I sat with the gals from Daytona. (Woohoo!) To start the day off, Jake and the rest of the band led everyone in a time of worship. Jesse and Darryn then taught the main sessions until around noon.
My team then walked over to Tijuana Flats for lunch. Oh my...when the waitress came to our table to hand me my order, she lost her balance and the container of queso splashed all down the front of my white shirt and jeans. At this point almost everyone gasps and stares. The waitress felt so bad, but I wasn't very upset. haha, it was pretty funny actually. (After we got back to the church, Rachel brought me some clean clothes from home.)
For the rest of the afternoon, we stayed in our teams to get to know eachother better and go over trip details. Once the meetings were finished, we all hung out for a while playing Mafia, the chair game, and Spoons; talking a lot; meeting new people; setting up for the spaghetti dinner fund-raiser about to take place in the lobby....(which, by the way, was a success).
Once all of that was done, there was Deluge. :) It was really awesome. Jesse continued his series on what Jesus Christ did and there was a time of ministry afterwards. The Holy Spirit was/is definitely at work in our youth group. Julia and I didn't end up leaving for home until 11:30pm, making for a very long, tiring, fun day.
I only took a few photos throughout the day, one of which is Tori sitting in a pool floatie in the pitch-black auditorium. haha.
