One of my best friends, Cynthia, was born and raised in the capital city, Port-au-Prince...the place hit hardest by the 7.3 earthquake. She lives here now, but has so many friends and family members (including her dad) who still live there in the city. She has tried to contact them over and over again, but can't get through and is worried about how they are doing. She is very emotional right now and needs prayer both for herself and for those she loves in Haiti.
Tomorrow afternoon, I will be helping out with the relief effort her and her mom started. We'll be going out to some places around town to raise funds and supplies to send directly to Haiti this weekend. The Haitians are hurting so deeply right now and need help. Please pray that the people we talk to will give generously to this cause!
I want to go down there so badly right now....

We have all been praying so much these past few days and will continue to. I have been praying for Cynthia and her family as well. I hope that today went well!
