I shall just write whatever comes to mind about my sister Lydia..
*Over the past many years, I have always wondered how she got to be so talented, so smart, so funny/quirky, so everything else.... the only thing I can come up with is that while I was partially fed with formula as a baby, she was fed all-naturally if you know what I mean...
*For Christmas, she got what she asked for: cacti (*plural of cactus, mind you) and a gerbil (she named it Johnny Appleseed..I call it Ratface).
*She bought a mini bonsai tree once for our bedroom, but somehow hundreds of miniscule buggies came in with it. We had to (in her words) "zealously vacuum the room until 2am."*When we were little, we played make believe together. I was the doctor, she the patient. For an ointment, I mixed all sorts of condiments together (relish, mustard, vinegar, etc) and rubbed it on her body. She promptly developed a rash, which I got in trouble for.
*We made a huge batch of taco salad together a while back and then fought over who got the credit for how amazing it tasted. Over the years, she turned out to be the better cook than me. (Helllllllllooo calzones and carrotcake..)
*She hums and it sounds exactly like a violin.
*At nighttime, we watch movies together on my bed and she laughs hysterically into my ear pretty much the whole time. "I hate all the orphans in the WHOLE WORLDDD!" (don't get mad at me, it's just a Nacho Libre quote..)
*When she's out and about, she may seem very quiet and timid, but when she's home she's CRAZY!
*She makes up songs on the spot....and you just wish you had her Broadway-esque voice.
*She wants to get a degree in physics. Little smartiepants.*She is loyal and one of the most genuine people I know.
*She dislikes trendiness.
*She impersonates Gollum pretty dang well. It's scary, I tell you.
*Little kids love her and she loves little kids.
*She cares about our government and can articulate it's issues better than most people in this nation.
*We get into fights just for the fun of it. I have a purple bruise on my arm at this very moment from our wrestling match yesterday.
*We get mad together when someone is being a jerk.
*We have all sorts of inside jokes which I'm not telling, because otherwise they're not inside jokes.
*She goes running with me and waits at each street corner for me to catch up.
*When I'm stressed out, she either stresses me out more or offers to do whatever she can to help me out.
*She will most definitely be one of my bridesmaids whenever I get married.
*She is one of my best friends and I LOVE HER! muah!

This is a great post Joanna! I think it's great that you have such a good relationship with Lydia (I know how hard it can be to get along with siblings that are closer to you in age) haha. Great post, very well written (it has a very natural feeling to it) :).
Thanks Taylor. :) And oh trust me, we have our fights, haha. But really, our relationship is better now than it ever has been..
