Speaking of which, I like writing in journals and on blogs, but then again I don't like the cliche, goody-goody words that come out of my brain via my pen or my fingertips. They don't seem to adequately get what I want to say across. But I guess that is why I should keep writing: to break out of pre-conceived molds and to express myself with originality. Wow, did that not sound self-inspirational and meaningful... Ba doom chhhh. Ha ha.
But um yeah, anyway. My family had a good Christmas. Pretty much the usual happened, except for one thing: we were generally more cheerful and less stressed-out than past Christmases. I don't know why it was that way (maybe because Mary doesn't live here anymore...wink wink, JUST KIDDING MARY!), but I liked it. We ate breakfast and opened presents (youuuu just wish that you got exercise stuff like I did! a pedometer, what what!) and then hung out for the afternoon and watched Nacho Libre (which my friend Mikey gave me for Christmas). Later on, Barry --our Jewish postal man -- and his friend came over for dinner. (It's typical for us to invite people over for the holidays if they have no where else to go or whatnot.) Mary, Ryan, and my yet-to-be-born niece or nephew couldn't come since they are vacationing in Puerto Rico for the week. Jealous jealous jealous!
Rach, Smashley, and I wanted to go caroling at the hospital on Christmas Day, but we didn't know that you have to register to do so until it was too late. But we're definitely going to try next year! I can't wait for that!
And the lock-in is coming up!! Just two more days!! So excited! I hope that it doesn't turn out lame, especially since I helped plan some of it. ha ha. And especially since I signed 22 people from the Daytona church up for it. ha ha ha. But ya know, there's reason right there for it not to be lame! That.. and the fact that we have a lot of fun things planned for the night indicate that
it could indeed be alright. ;) We shall see. Oh and yall, in case you haven't heard, it's 1980s themed~
And one last thing- As some of you know, my good friends Chrissie, Cassie, and their mom Lynette relocated from Metro to Crossway (the SG church in Niceville). Well, as of last night, Chrissie is now being courted by the church's bass player -- Connor Green!! I am thrilled for them! They are both so hilarious and so stinkin sweet! When I talked to Chrissie this morning, it was as if I could feel her smiling through the phone. Adorable ~

I will end the post right here because lunch just came out of the oven...chicken nuggets, curly fries, and apple pie. ;) So unhealthy, but I think my pedometer and I will go running today, so it's all good. ;)

"Crossway's bass player" HILARIOUS!
Connor is also Bob Kauflin's nephew. LOL!
I love reading your posts. I think you are so funny.
And the post about Lydia is the sweetest thing ever!
A pedometer...so that's how you knew it was exactly 3.3 miles lol. That's really cool, it sounds like you all had a great Christmas. And I know what you mean by less stressed out, it must be that God is working in your family (and mine) cause it seemed that way to me too =). Congrats to Chrissie and Connor! I wish them all the best! (even though I don't know them) haha.
haha well thanks, Brandi!!
Yeah Taylor, a pedometer is how I knew! And oh cool, I'm glad it was that way for your family as well =).
AW, Jo! You are so sweet! =) Thank you! I'm pretty darn excited too and it's been almost one month! ha! =) <3 you!
