So yeah. I really haven't posted in a while. I've been busy working on a lot of photography projects (senior photos, church events, etc.). Annnnd of course the good ole homework, babysitting, all that jazz.
Tonight was Deluge. Jesse continued his series of messages on technology. It was really neat. I loved this point: when I'm doing something, I need to think about whether it is the best use of my time. When I'm using technology, am I using it as a tool to glorify God and further His purposes? Or am I just frittering away my time when I could be looking for ways to actively serve my family/church/God instead? There was conviction there. Application of this message is key! Jesse came up with a new initiative called "Tech-less Tuesdays" which we'll start on May 4th. He asked us to choose one or more areas of technology (i.e. Facebook, texting, blogging, etc.) and go without it on Tuesdays. To replace the time we would normally spend on that, we'll have a short assignment (such as studying and memorizing God's word, reading books such as Culture Shift by Al Mohler, etc). I'm really excited about this. You can go to http://technologyfast.ning.com/page/just-say-noonce-per-week to read more about it and join the group if you would like to. Anyone is welcome!
any thoughts?
cheers,
joanna

Awesome. I wish I could have been there. Even though I don't have a facebook I still don't realize how much time I waste doing silly things on the computer. Thanks for sharing what happened...since I wasn't there! :)
