World history is fascinating stuff..oh especially when it's ancient! I love it as much as I hate chemistry (AKA a lot). No seriously, I love cultures, civilizations, how history ties in to and fulfills Biblical prophecies...etc. I even like history text books...I guess some people would think I was insane. But historical fiction is really good as well, like Mara Daughter of the Nile...lots of others.
I could start talking about all the interesting things in ancient history. But I won't. I'd get carried away.
On to a topic unrelated to history, has anyone read books by Lois Lowry? Like...The Giver or Gathering Blue? If so, what do you guys think? (I personally love them.)

Joanna! I just found your blog because you posted on mine. I love blogging... and yes. I remember you. We hung out at the Yates' house.
Love you and your blog is great.
OH MY WORD!!!!!!!!! Yet another thing we have in common!!!!! This is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! I haven't read any Lois Lowry but I did read Mara Daughter of the Nile. And you better not get me started either because I'll go on and on and on. Oh, Joanna, I love you! We REALLY sisters!! :p
Heather, I swear! We really are twins separated at birth! we look alike! we have like identical minds..we think alike, hate and love the same things, dress close to the same way, etc. it's weird!
but if people think we're sisters, let's just go along with it.
love you too.....sister!! ;D
Heather, do you realize the implications of your statement? ;)
Joanna, I LOVE history too!! Historical fiction is my favorite! And I love Mara Daughter of the Nile! I don't think I've ever read any books by Lois Lowry. The name sounds really familiar though... I'll look into it and get back to you on that one. :)
I read The Giver for school a while back. I thought it was interesting, but I don't remember if I really liked it or not. It was kind of sad... I've also read Mara Daughter of the Nile - that's a great book!
Yeah, Lois Lowry's books are unique. {very} weird, but I love her type of writing...
