Classes have started. Yesterday, as a matter of fact! And I have homework. Hip...hip...hurrah. :p I rather like {most} school though, if I'm not overwhelmed with lots of homework. I guess perseverance is the key when that happens.
(Long side note: In my church's highschool/college youth group we're starting the book Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. (Their website: www.therebelution.com) It's about not accepting the low expectations that people have for us as youth, but striving for excellence and doing things that are hard and require effort in the different aspects of our life. (I think homework would be included in this.) Anyway, the book looks fantastic...and I'll probably refer to this book a lot for encouragement through the school year, especially when I'm assigned 200 Algebra II problems for the week, and I'm freaking out.)
This morning I've been studying Module 1 of Chemistry. At least for now, it ain't so bad.

Ah yes the never ending routine of homework, questions about different subjects, and that priceless look on your face when you’re totally lost. At first I was not excited at all about starting school but I'm having a great time! My attitude dictates what kind of day I'm going to have. Some days go really well because I'm positive and I have that drive and perseverance but other days don't go well at ALL. But I do think that the book DO HARD THINGS is going to be outstanding and I can't wait to read and apply it to my life! So all this, Joanna, to say that you're not alone in this journey of having a good attitude and striving to do your best although some times you don't feel like doing it at all. Love you!!! (call me if you ever have one of those days because odds are I'll be having one of those days too and we'll pray together)
Joanna,
Check your email asap!!!
