Basketball

On Sunday, I played the first game of basketball in my life ... in my church's women's b-ball league! My friend Ashley convinced Rachel and I into signing up. I was hesitant though, for one reason: I can't play basketball to save my life. Well, I can dribble, and I can make a basket after the 6th time, but I know almost none of the basketball terms, positions, fouling, rebounding, dadadada. I went out on the court almost clueless, knowing the game would be my crash course. One thing I learned is...be aggressive!! I was a floaty ditz. I also learned my lesson from travelling and tripping over the ball. ha. :) Anyway, the rest of the team was good! Julia is the captain, and of course she plays well! (We also have Fitz, Frojo, Ash, Erika, Noelle, and Alyssa.) We lost by 7 or 8, but the game was really fun! After the game, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Bellamy said that I was so graceful. Maybe a lil too much. ;) I'll work on that. We still have 9 more games...

Men's league was also on Sunday (the old guys!), which Dad played in. He's on a team with Mr. Jessee, and Mr. Bellamy, and all them -- which just made me laugh. They've still got game in them.

Next Sunday I'll try to get some pictures.
